Deleting your account

You can delete your weminder account at any time, directly in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Before you delete: talk to your partner

Your chart belongs to both of you. When you delete your account, the shared chart is removed for your partner too — along with all of its history.

This is deliberate. A chart is an artifact of a relationship, not one person's property, so there's no version where one of you keeps it and the other doesn't. But it does mean deleting your account ends something for someone else. If you're able to, tell them first.

Your partner will get a notification when it happens, sent just before the chart is removed.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Profile page.

  2. Scroll to the bottom, below Logout.

  3. Tap Delete Account.

  4. Type DELETE in all caps to confirm.

  5. Tap the confirm button.

There's no grace period, no reactivation window, and no way to undo this. Once you confirm, it runs.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account:

  • Your profile, preferences, and settings

  • Every chart you're part of, whether you created it or joined your partner's

  • All chart contents — logged behaviors, tasks, mood entries, report cards, reference notes, and report history

  • Any voice notes or Talk Flag recordings you've recorded

  • Any invite codes you have outstanding, which stop working immediately

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so you'll need to cancel through the App Store or Google Play. If you don't, you may be charged again even though your account is gone.

Cancel first, then delete.

What we keep

Almost nothing. Your profile, preferences, charts, logged behaviors, tasks, moods, voice notes, and reference notes are deleted immediately and permanently.

Three exceptions:

Referral codes. If you shared a referral code, the code stays valid so anyone who used it can still claim their signup bonus. Your identity is stripped from it, and no further credit accrues to you.

Infrastructure logs. Our hosting provider retains your internal user ID in operational logs for roughly 30 days. This is standard for cloud-hosted apps and isn't something we can switch off. These logs contain an anonymous identifier, not your name or email.

Support records. If you ever contacted us and we took an action on your account — resetting a password, for example — we keep a record of that action, including the email address on the account, for [X months]. We keep it so we can answer questions about what was done to an account and by whom. If you've never needed support, there's nothing to keep.

One thing we can't reach: if another user blocked you before you deleted, your old user ID stays on their block list. It's a dead identifier with no name or contact information attached, and it doesn't let anyone find or identify you.

If you can't get into the app

If you've lost access to your account and can't delete it yourself, email info@weminder.app from the address on your account and we'll take care of it.

If deletion fails partway through, the app will tell you and point you to the same address. Contact us — an account that's been asked to delete should not stay open.
